Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Public mass has resumed for Sacred Heart Church in McAllen, TX.
We will follow the sanitary protocols adopted by the Diocese of Brownsville which are as follows:
• For the safety of our elderly and vulnerable members, please wear a Face Mask as an act of charity.
• If you are sick, please stay home.
• Wash your hands frequently and sanitize your hands whenever possible.
• Avoid touching your face.
• Communion will be placed in your hands.
• During the sign of peace, please avoid shaking hands with members outside of your household.
Confession will remain by appointment only T-F 9 AM – 5 PM
The mass schedule will remain the same.
Please keep in mind that the dispensation for Sunday mass is still in effect which means you are not obligated to attend in person or on Sundays, so please attend during the week if you are able so we can have as much space as possible during the weekend. Live Stream masses will continue to be aired by the Diocese of Brownsville, so please follow their page so you may receive a notification.
Ushers will be available at each mass to assist with the new procedures and there will be signage at the entrance of the church as well.
We will keep everyone updated should there be any further changes.
Let us never forget how steadfast God’s love is for us, especially in our time of need.
